“fuck that shit” is one of my favourite phrases. and…i know multi-syllabic words…like ‘penultimate’ and various other impressive words with ancient and exotic morphology. they are just…not as satisfying…as the 4 letter ones.
My favourite multisyllabic word is ‘asymptote’. It refers to a line of a graph that always gets closer and closer to a certain point but never reaches it. I just realised that this word would be a lot more poignant if it was actually called ‘asympto…’
