Do you ever get the feeling you’re not really human, you’re actually around sixteen million small mammals - stoats, perhaps - tied up in a big bag of flesh, or possibly ham, as part of some weird Daniel Dennett Philosophy of Mind experiment in which someone is attempting to prove that they can recreate human mental states if they put enough stoats (or ferrets, maybe) inside a fleshy sack, with each ferret (slash stoat slash otter) inside the hambasket (or maybe pancettacase) doing the work of one human synapse?
