My First Gig

Oasis, Knebworth, 1996. Britpop’s zenith, 150,000 people in a field singing along to Champagne Supernova. John Squire from the Stone Roses making a guest appearance and us not realising because we were too far back (even though when we looked at an overhead photo of the concert afterwards we were actually within the closest 25% of the people to the stage).

Support acts: Manic Street Preachers, The Charlatans (UK), Kula Shaker, Dreadzone. Such heights. Such great heights.
