Ex-Tabula Rasa

I shall try to define myself in a sentence with a pithy comment at the end:
I'm just an English bloke who lives in Canada after marrying a Canadian lady he met while living in Japan. Yeah, that old cliché.

Shameless Self-Promotion:

Wow! I'm on Twitter now!

Okay, final new frame pic. This picture was drawn for us by a friend, and given as a wedding present. It shows a bearcub and a kitten surfing on a Hokusai wave. This is all relevant to us as Kitten and Bearcub are the nicknames that Mrs Fuiru and I have for each other, we got married in Hawaii and we met in Japan. And we loved this so much that we wanted to do something very special with it.

The guy in the frame store (Alternative Arts on Bloor, for those of you in Toronto who may want to get something framed soon) was really helpful, and he recommended doing the cut-out design with the different coloured matting. And Christ on a bike, we’re glad he did. This one went right up over our bed. The frame is brilliant, the matting is brilliant, the art means a lot to us (and is brilliant) so this has a really special place in our hearts.

The artist is coming over on Monday evening for dinner. She doesn’t know we had this done. Can’t wait to show her!
